Songs that lend a voice to the equestrian world in a way only music can.
“A little party never hurt nobody.” Especially when that party features fine dancing horses! A perfectly choreographed routine to the soundtrack of Baz Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby,” including flapper costumes and all, is just one of the many impressive performances you can expect from Kim and Yvonne Barteau, Dan James and company.
This troop is set to put on quite a show this week at the 2016 National Western Stock Show’s “An Evening of Dancing Horses – A Night At The Movies.” The Barteaus, of KYB Dressage in Illinois, and James, an Australian who works with Double Dan Horsemanship, pair up to put on a handful of fantastic shows each year. For this show, the equestrians will be accompanied by live music from the Denver Brass.
Combined, they will bring 13 horses, 10 or so crew members, and scads of sensational costumes to the Dancing Horses event. It promises to be quite a spectacle. For just a taste, check out this highlights video from a past performance:
For those in the know, there is also an extra special way to partake in the night’s festivities. The flyer below from the KYB Dressage website, gets you discount tickets and early admission!
