Alexandra Hellings with Mary Wing To – Knightsbridge, London

With the close of the World Equestrian Games comes an announcement from its biggest star. British Dressage great, Charlotte Dujardin, along with up and coming international dressage rider Alexandra Hellings, will collaborate with the Queen’s Master Saddler protégée and designer Mary Wing To. What the fruits of this collaboration will be is not yet clear, but with Dujardin and Hellings as muses it promises to be spectacular.

Wing To has had an illustrious career in her own right. She trained with the Queen’s Master Saddler and Master Harness Maker at The Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace and is now Senior Leather Artisan for the iconic fashion house, Chanel. She says the bond between humans and horses is the sole of her work.

If you would like a sneak peak of what’s in store, take a look at her award-winning work for The Brancott Estate World of Wearable Art. It brings a whole new meaning to the term “equestrian fashion!”
